Stopped by recently to pick up bags for my Miele C3 and struck up a conversation with Logan, who was very helpful and gave me some cleaning tips and a brush to help keep my vacuum operating. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase a cannister vacuum or have mine serviced here. This is the kind of local and professional touch that's hard to come by at a big box store or online.

We purchased a vacuum from Erv a few years ago and the staff, especially the owner, Sarah, is very knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. They provide consistently great customer service which is becoming exceedingly rare to find these days. I will be a customer of theirs for as long as I need a vacuum!

Dropped in today and the lady who welcomed me determined the problem and I left in 15 minutes with a fully operational vacuum. This should be everyone’s “go to” shop!

I absolutely love the mop/vacuum combo I purchased!! Was is pricey, yes. Was it worth it, ABSOLUTELY!!! We have 1500 sq ft of hardwood (lvp) floors and this machine makes it so much easier to clean! I barely use a charge when cleaning too which is great! Sarah was such a big help in explaining what we were getting and showing us how to use it! I’m so glad we decided to go this route and not keep buying from Amazon or other stores where the machine quits working and you don’t have someone or a store to take it to for help. Highly recommend!!!!

Sarah was so helpful and kind! Instead of trying to keep my vacuum and have it dropped off for days, or upsell me on something right away, she took a peek and took my vacuum apart and diagnosed that my issue was my belt. I don’t have the most expensive vacuum, but it wasn’t even a year old, she popped off the pieces and replaced my belt right there. She even gave me some additional info on what to look for for my next vacuum, which I really will be looking into! I previously tried to get a hold of, the American vacuum company stores, because they do warranty work for Bissell. Which I have. I was worried about how much it was gonna cost me so I wanted to go to them directly, but they were absolutely so rude, the multiple times I’ve spoken to them on the phone. I tried calling a different location. Maybe thinking I would get someone who is nicer, but that wasn’t the case. Then when I showed up to their store, which was closed on a day they were supposed to be open, I knew I had to go elsewhere. Thank you so much for your quick help, and for not being a typical store that’s just trying to make money, but rather help the customer. It’s places like this, I’d rather invest in!

I will only be going to Midwest Vacuums for ANY vacuum repairs needed. I fully intend to buy a new vacuum from them in the future. I had a "Dyson Animal 2" problem with my vacuum and Sarah from Midwest knew EXACTLY how to fix my issue and helped ensure I had the best deal I could get for the parts needed. I was extremely impressed with the customer service and help from Midwest Vacuums at both Olathe and Lee's Summit locations. Just bummed I did not know about this place years ago!

After some research on vacuums, I was excited to learn that there was a local shop selling the vacuum I was interested in. I dropped by but they did not have the one I wanted in stock. The nice gentleman still spoke to me about the vacuums, the brand I was interested in, and answered all of my questions. He told me when they were expecting a replacement in and told me he'd give me a call. A few days later, he gave me a call, having just put together the vacuum. He showed me all the ins and outs of the vacuum, told me about some extra knock knacks I could buy if I wanted to, explained the warranty, and then walked my new vacuum to my car!I'm very pleased by this place and am still swooning over my vacuum two months later. I am never going back to bagless vacuums. No more emptying a bin every half a room and getting dust everywhere. No more beating the filter every week to "clean" it. The vacuum I bought doesn't even have a full bag after vacuuming the entire house! It compacts very tightly in the bag. The suction is so strong that I was startled the first time I tested it by putting my palm against the wand. The brush roll is removable, so cleaning out my long hair that gets caught has never been easier. From my understanding, all the parts are individually replaceable and serviceable. My floors are so fluffy after going over it and I feel like they are actually clean! I'm just very pleased with my experience and the vacuum!Edit to add: I bought the Sebo Felix. Their website shows the red colored one but they carry the black one in store, which I was another plus for me. Look how handsome this vacuum is!

I took my hand held Dyson in because I thought it needed a new battery. The young clerk noticed my filter was dirty and showed me how to clean it. No charge!!!! He could have easily charged me the $79 to clean it. I just wanted to highly recommend this company.

I took my 1998 Miele to Erv's. They diagnosed it within 15 minutes as a hose malfunction. However, dummy me, wanted a second opinion. I really wanted someone to fix it. I took it to Midwest vacuums in Lee's Summit, a week later and $24.99 plus gas was told the exact thing Erv's told me. Erv is honest and once I decide to buy a new vacuum, I most likely will go back to Erv.

Above and beyond helpful and exceeded my expectations! Went to donate my $1000 Kirby vacuum that I thought was broken and in less than 10 minutes they had it fixed for less than $10!!!! Super friendly too!

Love this place. They fixed my Dyson and saved me the cost of having to buy a new one. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I will definitely be returning if I ever have any other vacuum problems.

I was impressed by Logan, who helped me navigate the brands and models of vacuums that had the features that would help me clean my house. There was no pressure involved as he demonstrated the advantages and disadvantages of features and the costs of attachments. He took a loads of time to answer my questions. It was a big help to be able to run the machines in the shop to get a feel. An excellent experience.

Very knowledgeable! Lots of options for such a a small location. Doesn’t try to sell you on the most expensive ones. Saw the brand we use at my job and that’s the one I want. We went for a part, not a whole vacuum. I know where to go when it’s time to replace ours, though!

My family has, for many, many years, relied upon Midwest Vacumms in Lawrence, Kansas for our varying home care and vacuuming needs. This week, I had need of a small repair for my well-used and quite old, yet still very much "use-able", upright vacuum. Upon my arrival at the Lawrence store, with my vacuum in tow, I was greeted warmly by Logan. I explained the repair I felt was needed and within seconds, literally, Logan assessed the situation and shared with me that regretfully, the parts necessary for my repair were no longer available due to decisions made by the manufacturing company of my vacuum. I was not given the "run-around" thankfully. I pondered this new information for a moment and then asked Logan if perhaps he could find a way to repair the issue himself while I waited. He agreed to try to do so and amazingly, he did, within only 3-4 minutes' time. While I waited, I looked around at the stores' vacuum selections. When Logan re-appeared with my repaired vacuum, I asked him if he had light, but sturdy and powerful upright vacuums available for under a certain dollar figure. He immediately confirmed he did. He showed me 3 options that met my parameters. He was knowledgeable about the products he showed me and easily yet thoroughly answered my several many questions. He did not attempt to upsell me...which helps me to know I'm working with someone I can trust. I made no purchase this week but I may well do so in the near future and...., I will have no need to shop around or to research and try to figure out things out myself. Midwest Vacuums does this for you with knowledgeable, helpful and well-informed staff. Thanks Logan and Thank You Midwest Vacuums!!! I'll definitely keep coming back.

After some research on vacuums, I was excited to learn that there was a local shop selling the vacuum I was interested in, a Sebo Felix. I dropped by but they did not have the one I wanted in stock. The nice gentleman still spoke to me about the vacuums, the brand I was interested in, and answered all of my questions. He told me when they were expecting a replacement in and told me he'd give me a call. A few days later, he gave me a call, having just put together the vacuum. I show up and I'm tickled to see it's the black version and not the red. He showed me all the ins and outs of the vacuum, told me about some extra knick knacks I could buy if I wanted to, explained the warranty, and then walked my new vacuum to my car!
